Healthy Heart
FOX23 News, the American Heart Association and the American Stroke Association are teaming up to motivate the Capital Region to live healthier, happier lives with the "Healthy Heart" campaign. There are so many simple things almost everyone can do that can help prevent heart disease and stroke as well as lengthen life expectancy. Through on-air public service announcements these simple steps are brought to our viewers (there are links at the side of this page where you can see all the PSAs produced to date). In addition, when new research or other news-worthy events occur related to heart health, FOX23 News at Ten will bring those stories to you as "Healthy Heart Alerts." And, FOX23 News is committed to supporting research through sponsorship and promotion of local event fundraisers like the annual Start! Heart Walk each October.
Below is a link to valuable information and resources from the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association. You will also find there the "Start!" program which can help motivate you and those you care about to take care of the heart.
It is so easy to make small lifestyle changes that will pay off later in life. Take a few minutes to visit the sites below and here's to you and your Healthy Heart.
